The Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Academic Fellowships call for applications has opened, and the Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines is pleased to inform students of this development.

Education Level: Programs at the postgraduate or graduate level at American universities.
Available Topics: You will be able to study all of the subjects with this scholarship.
Nationalities Eligible: Only those from Southeast Asia
Advantages of a Scholarship: This scholarship offers a full education without tuition as well as program administration and overseas travel expenses;
Visa-free international travel;
allowances for travel, such as domestic flights and ground transportation;
allowances for books, culture, mail, and other accoutrements; to the cost of living and housing. The individual will be provided with technology allowances if the program was virtualized.
Eligibility Requirements:
Academic Fellows at YSEALI must be:

undergraduates enrolled full-time at a college, university, or other higher education institution; or have finished school within the past four years.
exemplify leadership in their profession, teamwork, extracurricular activities, or academic work.

Applications from candidates with special needs, indigenous groups, ethnic minority communities, and the LGBTQI+ community are all welcome.
Candidates must be:

a member of YSEALI (free registration is available at http://yseali.state.gov);
When applying, the required age ranges between 18 and 25;
a resident and Philippine citizen;
citizen or permanent resident;
an undergraduate student who is enrolled full-time or who has graduated within the past four years; along with a high proficiency in English language reading, writing, and speaking.
The ideal candidates ought to

Be interested in, knowledgeable about, or have professional experience in any of the three Fellowship themes listed above;
Demonstrate potential and strong leadership qualities in their university, workplace, or community;

Be willing to put in a lot of work to take part in a demanding academic program, volunteer work, and study tour; and be committed to returning to the Philippines so they may put the leadership training and skills they’ve acquired to use for the good of their community, country, or Southeast Asia.
The procedure for applying: On May 18, 2023, applications go live, and they conclude on June 8, 2024. Selected applicants are invited to an interview between June 20 and June 27, 2023.
